want to win?
it has been a while. I apologise to those who have been constantly visiting.
I'm here to update with some very exciting news :D
First of all, pptlasagna is obviously still around :D alhamdulillah. However, orders for this month of June are only limited to the weekend (Saturday and Sunday). The two-day notification period is still very much intact though ;) (to guarantee that all the flavours seep into your lasagna orders of course).
On the other hand, I'm conducting a lucky draw :D I notice the pptlasagna page on Facebook has been majorly slow in getting likes (so un-likable? :( please prove me wrong!) so this brings us to the lucky draw part.
To those who likes PPTLASAGNA, by that I mean, fans ranging from 560 up to 570 will be made eligible to enter this lucky draw! There will only be ONE winner and the lucky individual will win a prize from pleasepassthelasagna's kitchen :D (edible of course, I doubt any one of you would like to win a gegawi :p hehe) I will tally up the names and a random process will be done once the fans reach 570!
This will run up till the time the facebook page manages to get up to 570 fans :D start liking the page! If this goes well, I'll conduct this again with all existing and new fans. :D
p.s: my lasagna line isn't working :( for any inquiries & orders, please contact me via e-mail at nana.lasana@gmail.com
good luck :D

The right way to roll? Lasagna ROLLS!
It has been quite a while since I last updated. So far I have fixed my previous lasagna problem which bothered me so much. But Alhamdulillah it's done :D To celebrate, I have added something new to the menu ;)
It looks like your typical lasagna right? To the untrained eye it's a lasagna, that's layer after layer of alternated sauce. Well, it isn't.

It's LASAGNA ROLLS!
To be specific, CHICKEN lasagna rolls :D especially for all you people who wanted chicken instead of beef in your lasagna. At a glance, it looks like a slice of lasagna, but once you go into it, you can see its roll ;) Filled me with glee when I managed to do so :D
Lasagna rolls, comes in a pair (two lasagna rolls).
Chicken Lasagna RollsSize: One roll is approx. 13cm in length
That's all for now :D
p/s: order periods are now a minimum of TWO days (48 hours), no longer the usual 3 days. Though I need to update everyone concerning orders on the weekdays :S ESUK LAGI KU UPDATE OK?
Take care everyone :D

2010
First of all, Happy New Year to everyone! How was your new year? :D If I'm not mistaken, tomorrow is when the new academix year starts. Do have fun to those who are going back to school ;) Other than that, the 24-hour promotion is still going on! Please do make full use of it as it'll go on up to the 8th of January, 2010.
If I'm not mistaken, the other day (last year if I'm planning on being exact hehe :p ) I gave out hints to new items that may be added up to the menu which were:
So I haven't fulfilled my part of the 'beef rashers and onions' bit but! BUT! I have something more exciting :D (or so I'd like to believe). From what I noticed during the past months' (year, to be exact, since we're in 2010 already), the beef lasagna and the vegetable lasagna gets ordered the most!
Okay, so I've established that lasagnas are more popular amongst you lot. And I also know for a fact that Brunei is full of people who LOVE spicy food :D not 100% of them but quite a proportion of you do, kan kan? Can you get what I'm trying to say?
I'm introducing a special kind of beef lasagna to the menu :D
Spicy Beef Lasagna

price:
$28.00 --> Big : 12" by 9"
So what do you think? ;) I think capsicum is another name for bell peppers. Let me find an image I can attach here.....

For those who aren't sure what bell peppers are, there it is :D
As of now, it's only available oin the big size. Now, to make things more fun for both parties (you and I). I'm integrating this lasagna into the 24hour notification promotion :D
To those who order this lasagna within the remaining time left, will get to purchase it for B$25.00! That would be starting tomorrow morning until the 8th!

Another type of lasagna

Not exactly how the ingredients look like.. but that's what I substituted beef for in the lasagna I tried out last night for sungkai :D and it turned out good!
I must admit that I'm not an avid veggie eater (since IMHO veggies on their own taste kinda bland plus overcooked veggies don't look very appetizing to me) yet I actually enjoyed eating the veggie lasagna! The sudden change in stomach (it's usually 'change of heart' right? but since this involves the stomach, I say it should be a "sudden change in stomach instead) came from the weekly yoga sessions that I attend and much to my embarrassment, my tummy can't take it when leg raises are done :( I don't exactly know how this resulted in wanting veggies but then it's nice to have an alternative to beef.
Hence, I'm adding this to the menu :D
Vegetable lasagna

price+size:
$20.00 --> Big : 12" by 9"
As of now the veggies will be those three, however, I will eventually give alternatives to the carrots and spinach. Most likely eggplant and broccoli. Oh, and I'm not sure about taking orders for the smaller containers, that has to be taken into consideration.
It's almost time for sungkai. Happy sungkai-ing to all those who are able to fast :)
as usual,

Re-heating
We're a week into Ramadhan and I hope all has been well for all of you. In relation to today's title, well.. I'd like to talk about that. Since it's Ramadhan and all where eating, drinking and whatever wordly temptations we have are strictly prohibited during the period after sahur and before sungkai, orders for lasagnas cannot be consumed right away.
Here's the thing, I'm used to passing the orders for lunch and they get eaten while they are still warm. Can't do that for this month. So I'll definitely need some cooperation from the customers if they would like warm food ;) or request for your orders to be frozen so you may bake them closer to sahur or closer to sungkai.
It bugs me that people have to re-heat the food that they get, I'm not completely sure why. But maybeeeee.... it has something to do with this incident I heard from a close friend who orders from me. I'm not sure how valid or how much truth there is to this since ianya heard it from another customer. That pretty much makes it 3rd hand info (I think).
So, here it is. I sell my 5.5" by 4.5" lasagnas in aluminium pans which allows re-heating. I don't specifically mention how they should be re-heated but from the story I heard, the lasagna was re-heated in a pan of boiling water left to float (shouldn't it sink? haha inda ku tau eyh. I never tried.) with its lid on (baik jua with the lid on) but unfortunately water managed to seep in and it resulted in a warm yet soggy, soggy lasagna. It never actually crossed my mind to do that.. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone though..
Today's moral:
Lasagnas are best consumed un-soggy. As of above (directly above. hehe.)

Happy Fasting
The FSC food sale is already done. Well, as of Thursday the 20th to be specific. I believe my sales were okay, with the exception of the last day where I had one sad sad lasagna left and a slight bump along the way :)
On a personal note, it was a relatively interesting day for me. Obviously eventful, sorta like one of those things in those fictional stories where one bad thing after another occurs. Nonetheless, everything seems alright now. ANDDD! I am able to take orders for your sungkai needs hee communication is important, so e-mail me if you have any inquiries. I will definitely reply.
Besides all that, Selamat Berpuasa to those who are fit and able to fast :)
till here <3
